This Privacy Policy explains how MetaFix: EXIF Editor handles photos, files, metadata, advertising, purchases, consent choices, third-party services, and user data.

1. App purpose

MetaFix: EXIF Editor is designed to help users view, edit, and update metadata in selected photos.

Photo metadata may include EXIF metadata such as camera information, timestamps, image dimensions, orientation, and GPS/location metadata if that information is present in the selected image.

The app allows users to edit supported metadata fields and save an updated version of the image according to the options selected by the user.

2. Photo selection

MetaFix: EXIF Editor allows users to select photos from their device.

Photo access is used only for the functionality requested by the user, such as:

Selecting a photo

Detecting photo metadata

Showing metadata information

Editing supported metadata fields

Saving or exporting an updated version of the photo

The app does not automatically scan the user’s full photo library.

The app only processes photos selected by the user.

Current app feature data-handling context

MetaFix helps users view, correct, and manage photo metadata on device. Edited photos are saved as new copies and original files remain unchanged unless the user separately changes or deletes them outside the app.

Current app features may include metadata viewing, metadata editing, GPS metadata editing, clearing GPS metadata, editing date taken, and editing author, copyright, description, and other basic ownership fields where supported.

Current app features may include rewarded ads for extra daily edits, banner ads, a Remove Ads one-time purchase, and Pro features such as unlimited edits, advanced tools, supported metadata fields, batch editing, metadata presets, direct photo capture, and direct share after saving.

Camera access is used only for Pro direct photo capture when the user chooses that feature.

Location access is used only if the user chooses to use current location for GPS metadata editing.

Users are responsible for reviewing metadata changes before saving or sharing edited photos.

SensorLinQ Apps does not upload or store user photos on its own servers.

3. Local photo and metadata processing

Selected photos are processed locally on the user’s device.

SensorLinQ Apps does not upload, store, or process users’ photos on its own servers.

The app may read and edit metadata from selected images, including:

Camera details

Device details

GPS/location metadata, if present in the image

Description or other editable metadata fields

Other technical EXIF or image metadata fields contained in the image

This metadata is used only to detect, display, edit, and save metadata as part of the app’s EXIF editing functionality.

When the user saves an edited image, the app creates or updates an image file according to the options selected by the user. Any metadata changes are controlled by the user.

4. GPS and location metadata

Some photos may contain GPS/location metadata inside the image file. This can include information such as latitude, longitude, altitude, or other location-related EXIF fields.
