Data Deletion

ExpiryMate Data Deletion Request

How to delete local ExpiryMate data and request deletion of household sync data.

ExpiryMate Data Deletion Request

ExpiryMate does not require users to create a traditional personal account. Users may create or join a household for optional sync features.

ExpiryMate currently provides deletion-related controls for leaving a household and deleting the user's server-side member record, and for deleting local app data from the device.

To request access, export, deletion, or clarification for ExpiryMate data, contact Sensorlinqapps@gmail.com.

Because ExpiryMate does not use email/password accounts, reasonable verification may be required before server-side household sync data is accessed, exported, or deleted.

Leaving a household and server sync data

Leaving a household removes the user's membership and sync access. Food items, shopping lists, storage zones, and other shared content previously added to the household may remain available to other household members as part of the shared household record.

Household names and member display names are labels only. They are not security identifiers, and duplicate household names or duplicate member display names may exist.

For household sync deletion requests, include support information visible in the app where available, such as household ID, member ID, household name, member display name, invite-code information, or other relevant support identifiers.

Deleting local data from the device

Deleting local app data removes ExpiryMate data stored on that device. Local app data can also be removed by uninstalling ExpiryMate or clearing app data through Android device settings.

Deleting local app data does not delete server-side household data unless the relevant server-side leave or deletion action is also used.

Local-only data is not available to SensorLinQ Apps unless the user provides it. User-taken item photos are not stored on SensorLinQ Apps servers.

Subscriptions and third-party records

Deleting ExpiryMate data does not cancel Google Play subscriptions. Google Play subscriptions must be managed through Google Play for the Google Account used to subscribe.

Google Play, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, Open Food Facts, and similar third-party service records may need to be handled through those providers depending on the request.

Automatic deletion of inactive household sync data

In addition to user-requested deletion, ExpiryMate may automatically remove inactive server-side household sync data. A household with no recorded activity for 180 days may be marked dormant. A household with no recorded activity for 365 days may be marked pending deletion. If the household remains pending deletion for a further 30 days, the server-side household sync data may be permanently deleted.

Using the app with household sync again before permanent deletion may reactivate or update the household activity record.

This automatic process is separate from deleting local app data on a device. To remove local app data, users can use their device settings, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. To cancel or manage subscriptions, users must use Google Play subscription settings.
